Bio

Born and raised in East New York, Brooklyn Ed Easton Jr. has been an employee at CBS Radio since 2009. He is the Lead Writer for 923now.com and contributor to fresh1027.com, wcbsfm.com and newyork.cbslocal.com/. He has also worked for MSG Varsity as a content producer and beat writer during the station’s first year. He received two BA degrees from SUNY College At Old Westbury one in Media Communications and the other in American Studies.

Ed is the President and CEO of Keeping It Real Sports LLC, a multi-faceted media website and spin-off from the sports radio show that he has been producing and hosting for over five years under the same name. The show was recently aired on CBS Radio’s Chat About It network interviewing some of the biggest names in sports media and former star athletes. Ed is currently the weekend morning drive host from 7 – 10am on 92.3 KROCK-HD2 also owned by CBS Radio.

In the Fall of 2006, Ed worked as a Productions Assistant Intern at “SNYTV” Sports Net New York Television logging games and interviews for the New York Mets. He also interned at 1010 WINS Radio working under News Director, Ben Mevorach, learning and writing articles for the station during the fall of 2007. In the summer of 2008, Ed would also go on to intern at XM Satellite Radio working with the Home Plate Major League Baseball Channel XM 175 and assist during the MLB All-Star Game festivities at Yankee Stadium.

Ed has created or developed several websites for producers,entertainers,fraternities and radio stations. He’s assisted in the developments of 92.3NOW’s website 923now.com and as part of the Nick Cannon morning show web team he’s assisted in the production of Mr. Cannon’s personal site nickcannon.com. Ed’s specialty is developing sites based on the wordpress server since it is the industry standard for media websites.
